    1878年德國人發明板式換熱器,并取得專利。到1886年,由法國M.Malvazin初次規劃出溝道板板式換熱器,并在葡萄酒出產中用于滅菌。R.Seligman在1923年成功地規劃了能夠成批出產的板式換熱器,開始時是運用許多鑄造青銅板片組合在一起,很像板框式壓濾機。1930年今后,才有不銹鋼或銅薄板限制的波紋板片板式換熱器,板片附近用墊片密封,從此板式換熱器的板片,由溝道板的方式跨入了現代用薄板限制的波紋板方式,為板式換熱器的開展奠定了根底。
